Can't install app into tablet emulator from Android Studio

# pepper sdk installation doc
https://android.aldebaran.com/doc/installation.html#get-pepper-sdk-plugin

# create robot project in android studio
https://android.aldebaran.com/doc/create_project.html

I follow the instruction in official documents listed above and create the robot project in Android Studio.

The tablet emulator and robot viewer can start up normally, but when I hit the 'RUN' button of Android Studio, the adb console keep telling me that apk is not been signed so the installation is stopped (INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES), event the apk file was signed and checked with jarsigner or download from google play store.

I'm wondering that is anyone in the forum has the same issue in developing android with robot SDK, or it just can't be done in this way, need to use python SDK or something else instead ?

I would check this out:

I think you are using JDK7 though sooo...hm.

Pretty sure it is an android side issue, try to clean and rebuild.

Just to clear any confusion. You are not trying to install android apps? Because the tablet do not support them, event if it is technically an android tablet.
Softbank is suppose to release an updated Android SDK in Q4 2017 and I am waiting for that. I have not been able to get the current SDK release to work at all.

Really the SDK is broken? I didn't even realize...

I think you can write apps in Javascript/Java that will work without the SDK.
